The meathook is used to hang and maim Leatherface's victims. Leatherface uses these to easily chop up his victims, and store them for later
Pam, from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), was the first victim on screen to get hung. It is presumed that the meathooks have been used before to hang and maim.
